We all know Marlon Brando for his hit movies or two Oscars. But his connection with French Polynesia, where the actor lived for almost 30 years, remains largely to be explored. Because Brando, a complex and tortured character from Hollywood, known to be uncontrollable on film sets, sometimes odious, escapes all his life, on a small hidden island at the end of the world. By settling in Tahiti, Brando thinks he can get rid of his anxieties and turpitudes... But Polynesia, its paradisiacal landscapes, its sweetness of life and its particular culture were in reality only the mirage of an idealized peaceful existence, which the star never managed to realize.
